Death Valley

View of Badwater from Dante's View
Death Valley is spectacular, breathtaking, harsh and dangerous...and all at once. From the highest pinnacles of the surrounding mountain ranges, to the barren salt pan nearly 300 feet below sea level, it never fails to surprise and amaze.
The size and diversity of Death Valley is hard to imagine, and even harder to describe.
Your visit to Death Valley will be most enjoyable if you are well informed, make your plans in advance, and make sure to carry needed supplies and provisions in case of emergencies.
There are wondrous sights within the park boundaries, and quite a number of interesting places on the fringes of the park, although many are off the beaten track and not as well known.
Planning your visit will allow you to make the most of your time in Death Valley and the surrounding area, and make for a trip you will remember for a lifetime.
